In the course of its development strategy, Europlac received on 5 February 2008, the authorisation to use the trade mark PEFCâ„¢ delivered by the French Association of Forestry Certification, category 3 - forestry enterprises (transformers).

Europlac, a French manufacturer of parquet, veneered wooden flooring and wooden panelling, is an experienced family business situated to the north of Bordeaux. For the last few months, Europlac has been working towards strengthening its position on the French market and developing its export market. At the same time as updating its various collections, Europlac has been following the various stages of its accreditation with PEFCâ„¢. Today, Europlac is offering an attractive proposition in line with the market, whilst at the same time respecting the environment.

Being passionate about wood and anxious to offer its clients sound guarantees, Europlac has taken the correct steps to uphold good forest management. This certification assures that at least 70% of all wood undergoing the manufacturing process is certified by PEFCâ„¢.

This certification accompanies the internal administration at the society. Europlac recycles its materials; its varnishes and glues are solvent free and the supporting wood contains eight times less formaldehyde than normal. In addition to this, Europlac manufactures a product using ten times less hard wood than solid parquet or panelling whilst retaining the naturalness and authenticity of the wood; this product is the FunFloor veneered flooring.

This development is taking place at the same time as the general updating of the various Europlac collections, all within the general development strategy put into place at Europlac. Today, Europlac presents a new collection of ten different oak finishes with mat varnish, all certified PEFC™. This collection not only extends to the Prestige, Absolu 11mm and Absolu 14mm parquet, but also applies to the veneered FunFloor and FunWall panelling. The Chêne Collection (Oak) with a mat varnish finish, has now been complemented by a collection of waxed oak panelling in 6 different finishes with various styles and tones.
