A history of the company from 1980 to the 1990s

In 1984 Mr Cabannes set CABANNES business a spliced veneers business.

At the beginning of the 1990s Mr Cabannes had become well known in his field and decided to diversify his production and develop a finished product.

The end of the 1990s and the creation of the brand Europlac

In 1996 the first Europlac products arrived on the market under the name FunWall for the panelling and FunFloor for the veneered flooring..

In January 1998, Benoit Cabannes, the eldest son arrived on the scene; he is the actual director of the Europlac division. Being as entrepreneurial as his father, he decided to develop a range of floating parquet to complement the veneered flooring.

21st century Europlac consolidates its foundations with Uniclic licence and a floating parquet

In 2001 Europlac took on board the Uniclic® (registered trade mark) licence, a tongue-and-grooved clip system to facilitate installation.

In 2005 the Absolu parquet flooring made it appearance on the market in two different ranges: Absolu 11 mm parquet with a 2,5 mm layer of wood and Absolu 14 mm parquet with 3,2 mm layer of wood.

In November 2007 Europlac takes over its Belgian equivalent, BUGGENHOUT (Lignovision et Lignola).

... ... and now to turn to the future

June 2008 Europlac also decided to widen its range with a tongue and grooved plywood parquet called Prestige. This new product is more adapted to professionnal requirements and is available in the same tint and wood sepcies as Absolu.

2010 Europlac manufactured an other type of ceiling and wall covering: Lignola. Available in oak, Lignola has a 2 mm toplayer.
